WORKSHOPS
!Energetics! - pranayama and practices from the Hatha Yoga Pradipika
special program online and in person
Exploring the practice and teaching of prana within Ashtanga and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika this program combines online and in-person teachings to best serve the yoga community.
The Energetics course will focus on grounding students in the long traditions of Hatha Yoga. We'll deeply understand bandha, mudra and pranayama as well as asana.
Ashtanga (Vinyasa) will form the foundation of our practices. So our general approach will be to examine some practices from Hatha Yoga Pradipika, practice them in isolation and then integrate them within our daily Ashtanga sadhana.
We will learn the basics of pranayama as well as the pranayama sequence taught by Patthabi Jois. Students may expect specific focus on Nadi Shodhana, Moola Bandha, Uddiyana Bandha, Kapalabhati, Bhastrika, Bhramari, Nauli, etc.
Each online class will feature a mix of dissecting the Pradipika, sitting practices and asana - vinyasa work. If a student has to miss a session, they will be able to download the recording and catch up in their own time.
It is possible to study all classes on-demand (download and watch at your own preferred time but we strongly advise to attend at least some classes live as that is your opportunity to ask questions and interact with other students).

The Ancient Art of Adjustments workshop
in person
Sunday 22/9, 9:00 - 12:00
Although yoga is practiced on every corner, finding gifted teachers remains challenging. And similarly, although we are in constant contact with people through technology, human contact is becoming more and more rare.
Our yoga practices thrive from actual transmission between teacher and student. It's crucial to stay aligned and heading in a proper direction.
For safety, depth and the wisdom of connection, it always pays off to invest time learning adjustments.
We study not only how.. but why. Let us take the chance to deepen our skills - to become of greater service to all.
This workshop is open to all asana practitioners - you need not be a teacher nor flexible to greatly benefit from Dylan's decades of experience teaching and adjusting.
Price: 2.200 CZK
Early bird price: 1.600 CZK (before 31/8)
DYLAN BERNSTEIN
Dylan is delighted to reach out to yoga practitioners across the globe. He has helped to build bustling, supportive and ongoing Mysore communities in Hong Kong, Istanbul and Bali. In addition to running stable Ashtanga programs, he has taught workshops and high-level immersions in dozens of locations worldwide.
Dylan had the good fortune to be introduced to yoga and zazen meditation in 1988, at the ripe age of 14. Since then, he has called upon the practices to engage the body, still the mind and seek more subtle expressions of self. Though the soil and conditions around him are often shifting, the practices keep him grounded internally, allowing for stability even when in the midst of change.
A lifelong interest in Asian philosophy, culture and poetics brought him to reside throughout Asia, where he has maintained his home base since 2001. He has learned immensely both by travelling widely and by living in Vietnam, India, Bali and Hong Kong. In addition to time spent in Mysore with Shri K Pattabhi Jois, Saraswati and Sharath Jois, Dylan has been blessed to connect with many other dear senior teachers. Time spent working and residing in the monasteries of Venerable Thích Huyền Diệu has also proven immensely insightful.
Dylan holds a Master’s Degree in Buddhist Studies, has been authorised to teach Ashtanga by the Shri K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute and even has the highest certification available from Yoga Alliance stashed away in a drawer somewhere.
A student of teaching techniques, Dylan has a background in pedagogy and cognitive development. His classes are designed to put students into direct contact with their own true internal teachers. Yoga has never been limited to āsana for Dylan and yet, he values the critical role that the physical practice can play in bringing light to one’s whole being.
Essentially, Dylan remains a pluralist, believing in many kinds of truth and many manners of realisation. Though entertainment is not his focus in teaching, there is always room for laughter in his classroom. Ashtanga Vinyasa coupled with pranayama and other sitting practices continue to be the foundations of his understanding and teachings.
