If you're new to the ashtanga method and would like to join the morning mysore program, you have to commit to at least 3x a week practice for one month. Only practitioners with regular practice (at least standing postures) can come for one class only if they wish to.
WORKSHOPS
Ashtanga and The Middle Way
Streamline your asana practice with detailed alignment choices and effective, efficient transitions. Where does inhale and exhale lead you? What is next? How can you use transitions fully to support your practice? Asana practice can reveal the connection between ancient philosophies and modern practices. Bandha and breath consciously guide your entire practice internally. Dylan truly enjoys also using the wisdom of Buddha teachings to build a sustainable, supportive lifelong sadhana for one and all. Not holding onto your identity, willing to change and respecting different views helps you in finding your own truth in life and practice.
Open to all levels from complete beginners to advanced practitioners and yoga teachers and to all yoga styles, not only ashtanga.

Choices and Intentions: Asana Alignment and Adjustments
Every pose is unique, just as every person seeks personal solace from their own practice. Yet we also all share far more than we differ. This weekend workshop will microscope and adjust different alignments for different body and energetic types. We will also learn some of the hands-on adjustments that Dylan feels are most beneficial. Saturday will look into the experience of forward bending and hip opening, including the journey towards feet-behind-the-head. Sunday, we'll help each other twist and backbend. We'll examine postures from the most fundamental into the advanced. Everyone is welcome to explore and no one will be pressured to do more than feels comfortable. You will learn related anatomy, injury prevention, rehabilitation, how to teach different body types, different age groups and more..
Open to all yoga style practitioners. Beneficial to both deepening your personal practice and further educating yourself if you aspire to become a teacher or teach already.
Open to all levels of practitioners with some yoga experience.

DYLAN BERNSTEIN
Dylan is delighted to reach out to yoga practitioners across the globe. He has helped to build bustling, supportive and ongoing Mysore communities in Hong Kong, Istanbul and Bali. In addition to running stable Ashtanga programs, he has taught workshops and high-level immersions in dozens of locations worldwide.
Dylan had the good fortune to be introduced to yoga and zazen meditation in 1988, at the ripe age of 14 and a half. Since then, he has called upon the practices to engage the body, still the mind and seek more subtle expressions of self. Though the soil and conditions around him are often shifting, the practices keep him grounded internally, allowing for stability even when in the midst of change.
A lifelong interest in Asian philosophy, culture and poetics brought him to reside throughout Asia, where he has maintained his home base since 2001. He has learned immensely both by travelling widely and by living in Vietnam, India, Bali and Hong Kong. In addition to time spent in Mysore with Shri K Pattabhi, Saraswati and Sharath Jois, Dylan has been blessed to connect with many other dear senior teachers. Time spent working and residing in the monasteries of Venerable Thích Huyền Diệu has also proven immensely insightful.
Dylan holds a Master’s Degree in Buddhist Studies, has been authorised to teach Ashtanga by the Shri K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute and even has the highest certification available from Yoga Alliance stashed away in a drawer somewhere.
A student of teaching techniques, Dylan has a background in pedagogy and cognitive development. His classes are designed to put students into direct contact with their own true internal teachers. Yoga has never been limited to āsana for Dylan and yet, he values the critical role that the physical practice can play in bringing light to one’s whole being.
Essentially, Dylan remains a pluralist, believing in many kinds of truth and many manners of realisation. Though entertainment is not his focus in teaching, there is always room for laughter in his classroom. Ashtanga Vinyasa coupled with pranayama and other sitting practices continue to be the foundations of his understanding and teachings.
ROBIN WARD
Robin is a gentle and nurturing teacher of the Ashtanga method, with a deep respect for the purity of this practice. She passes the teachings on with care and precision, believing that the benefits come from consistent and sustainable effort in the traditional way. Robin started practicing yoga when she was 18 years old. She is a dedicated student of R. Sharath Jois. Receiving the traditional Authorization of KPJAYI to teach this method has been an incredible blessing, which then allowed Robin to assist Sharath in the KPJAYI Shala in Mysore, India.
Over the years, Robin has taught in many different places, including Dubai, Bali, The Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Germany and more. She loves teaching both beginners and experienced practitioners. She has also taught people from various backgrounds such as athletes, pregnant women, people of all ages and people with serious illnesses. She assists her students with their individual needs in order to promote physical, emotional and spiritual balance in their contemporary lifestyles. She believes this traditional practice to be a fundamental catalyst for growth, when practiced daily.
